The black tie, adults only dinner is attended by over 700 guests each year which includes representatives from local Councils, State and Federal Governments and business owners from the Macarthur region. The popularity of this event sees all tables sold out by June.

In the past, our guest speakers have included Peter Sterling, Anna Meares, Cathy Freeman, John Eales, Garth Tander, Layne Beachley, Michael Slater, Wayne Bennett, Ian Thorpe, Glenn McGrath, Stirling Mortlock, Lauren Jackson, Brett Emerton, Phil Gould, old boy of the College, Alex McKinnon and Sally Pearson. Jimmy Smith, media personality and, former NRL player, and Olympic Gold Medallist, Sarah Ryan, will once again agreed to return to co-host the dinner.

The Celebrity Sports Dinner is the most significant fundraising event for the College. These funds will ensure that St Gregory’s College is able to continue developing high quality facilities and programmes that support the achievement of our young people in all facets of their education.

Foundation Chairman Welcome

On behalf of the St Gregory’s College Foundation Board, I am delighted to welcome you to the Celebrity Sports Dinner website.

The Celebrity Sports Dinner is the major fundraising event for the College Foundation during the year, and this year I am pleased to announce we have a sellout event. All profits raised on the night assist the College in making outstanding opportunities available for the students at St Gregory’s.

I would like to acknowledge and thank our Major Sponsor, Wests Campbelltown, and our Gold Sponsors, Meehans Solicitors, Sports Foyer and Summit Smash Cooma, for their loyal and generous support of the College, along with our Silver, Bronze and corporate sponsors. Your loyalty each year is well received and greatly appreciated.

Our hosts for the evening, Jimmy Smith, media personality and, former NRL player, and Olympic Gold Medallist, Sarah Ryan, will once again return to co-host the dinner. Their connection to the College and passion for fundraising make it a most enjoyable evening.

We look forward to hosting our event in 2023 and wish to thank all involved in the coordination of the event.

Friday, 17 November 2023. If you are interested in sponsoring the 2023 event, please send an email to csd@stgregs.nsw.edu.au

Our sponsorship packages are inclusive of 10 people, plus a sports star and their partner at the allocated sponsorship table. However, we can arrange for it to be 12 people which eliminates the celebrity and their partner. All you need to do is let us know at the time of registration and we will invoice accordingly.

Sports stars are firstly allocated to sponsored tables; Gold or Silver tables. They will then be allocated to Bronze tables and then general ticketed tables.

In 2023 individual tickets will be $200 per person and this is reviewed yearly. However, as this is a fundraising event, we will sell sponsorship tables before individual tickets. Once we have exhausted the sponsorship allocation, we will open the remaining tickets for individuals. If you would like to register your interest for individual tickets in 2023, please email csd@stgregs.nsw.edu.au along with your name and how many tickets you would like. Tickets are offered as a first come first served basis.

If you would like to donate a prize (or three) for the evening, please email csd@stgregs.nsw.edu.au along with your details and we will give you a call to discuss. Alternatively, feel free to call the College on 02 4629 4222 and let them know you’d like to speak to Mary Stepien or Melissa Watts.

These funds will ensure that St Gregory’s College is able to continue developing high quality facilities and programmes that support the achievement of our young people in all facets of their education.
