From the Headmaster
St Gregory's College was established in 1926 and as its traditions develop I believe this College offers a unique educational experience for boys from Years 7 to 12. St Gregory’s College is a Marist school and it aims to develop young men of character, integrity and compassion. There are many elements that contribute to the wonderful spirit of St Gregory’s but I would like to highlight a few of these.
The first is the sense of community. St Gregory’s is both a day school for boys in the Macarthur region as well as a boarding school that attracts students from right across the New South Wales and overseas. Parents are welcome at all times to the College and they contribute generously to support the school in many ways.
The second element that makes St Gregory’s special is the importance placed on our students. There is a strong commitment to the boys to see them grow into young men of character and integrity. Each boy is valued as an individual and we strive to provide the best educational opportunities at all times. At St Gregory’s we have a committed, professional and very generous staff. Our staff is committed to professional development, especially in the areas of educating boys, and integrating technology into the curriculum. Our HSC results, as seen in the last few years have been quite notable with boys achieving places in the top 10 students in the HSC in some courses.
The fourth element that makes St Gregory’s a good place for boys are the opportunities for the boys to develop their strengths, talents and character. We host an extensive sports and co-curricular programmes and have wonderful facilities. As well as sport, the College offers involvement in music, public speaking and debating, show cattle and chess club to name only some of the activities that engage the boys and build that wonderful spirit of cooperation and sharing between the boys, staff and parents.
Thank you for visiting our website and I look forward to meeting you at our College.
