Student Leave

From the beginning of 2015, family holidays and travel are no longer considered under the Exemption from Attendance at School Procedures.  Travel outside of vacation period is now counted as an absence for statistical purposes.

Application for Extended Leave - 10 days or more (Senior & Junior schools)

If your son is going to be absent from the College due to family holiday for a period of more than 10 days to 100 days please complete the following form to apply:  Application for Extended Leave - Travel - PDF.

Application for Exemption from Attendance at School - Part/Full Days (Senior & Junior schools)

An application for exemption from attendance at school is required for:

  • Exception domestic circumstances, including but not limited to participation in family holidays during school term subject to being satisfied that this is in the best educational interests of the child
  • Other exceptional circumstances such as the health of the student where sick leave or alternative enrolment is not appropriate
  • Employment in the entertainment industry or participation in elite sporting events for short periods of time i.e. for one or two days and at short notice.

Please submit your completed and signed form to the College Principal (K-12), Mr Lee MacMaster via email:

A letter of approval and a copy of the Certificate for Exemption from Attendance at School or Certificate for Extended Leave will be sent via post and via email. The student's absence will also be noted.

Please note:  It is the student's responsibility to ensure that they approach each of their teachers to discuss any work they are going to miss and therefore are required to fill in the Student Leave - Work to Complete Form.


Student Absence / Early Departure - Less Than 10 Days (Senior & Junior schools)

If you would like to notify the College that your child(ren) will be absent from the College due to family, or other exceptional circumstances, please send a request in writing with your child or email the College Principal (K-12), Mr Lee MacMaster -

For student absence or early departure please contact the Year Coordinator or telephone Student Services on 4629 4284 or for Senior school. For Junior school 46242 777 or

If the notification is urgent and is for a same-day early departure from the College, please send a request in writing with your child to notify his Homeroom Teacher/Year Coordinator or alternatively contact Student Services on 4629 4284 or  A request in writing is required before a student can sign out of the College.


Student Work to Complete Form (Senior & Junior school)

A student is required to complete this form when they are absent from the College to ensure that they complete any work during their leave.  This form needs to be sighted by each of their teachers, Year Coordinator and the Director of Teaching and Learning for Senior school. For Junior school this needs to be sighted by Teacher and Head of Junior School.
