Our Students
St Gregory’s College, Campbelltown is centred on the Marist characteristics of Presence; Family Spirit; Simplicity; In the Way of Mary; and, Love of Work. Many of the traditions at the College are built on these characteristics that are ingrained in the Marist Charism.
The harmonious co-existence of this tradition with contemporary pedagogy, professional staff and functional learning and recreational spaces, engender a community where each student has the opportunity to pursue their talents and interests in a caring and supportive environment.
We believe that student wellbeing complements academic success. Our focus is on developing each student’s skills and attributes, using creative and critical thinking to help them thrive in an increasingly complex world. We want them to be adventurous beyond the curriculum, inspired to achieve more than they thought possible.
Our highly qualified and well-respected teaching staff are dedicated to the growth of every student. Students excel because they feel valued and safe, encouraged to take an appropriate level of risk and challenge themselves to move forward should they fail. As educators, we guide and facilitate student-learning journeys that are being shaped by teamwork, inquiry and innovation.
A school not only provides a strong education for your child but creates social communities, fosters and enhances their individual interests and talents and provides consistent, caring adult guidance. Education should build the foundations for a full and enriching life. It needs to prepare young people for a complex, information-rich, globalised world.
Our College sets high academic and behavioural standards for our students within the context of Christian care for their wellbeing and their growth as individuals.
We work in partnership with parents with open communication between the College and home crucial. School can be a richly rewarding experience when staff and parents work together for the good of the children in our care.
